VIRTUAL WALK | The Hidden History of London's Bridges, Part Two: Waterloo Bridge to Vauxhall | Katie Wignall

Our events are recorded and on-demand to ticket holders for one month. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit UK museums, galleries and other arts-based organisations.

Claude Monet, The Waterloo Bridge, London, 1903.

Join Katie Wignall, Blue Badge Tourist Guide, for the second instalment — from Waterloo Bridge to Vauxhall Bridge — of a four part virtual exploration created especially for ARTscapades of the capital's river crossings using high definition video, images and live commentary.

Bridges are not just practical but they express the architecture of the time and give us hints about the past. Ever since London was founded, people have needed to traverse the Thames and the varied history of these bridges give us an insight into the evolution of the city.

Expect fun facts and surprising stories from London's most iconic bridges!

This is an online event hosted on Zoom which can be watched live with Q&A, or on-demand for one month afterwards. You will receive your link to access the event in your email confirmation and the on-demand link after the event ends.
