Turner’s generous bequest to the nation is a cause for celebration, yet has often led to disputes and debate. Join Dr Alan Crookham, curator of the current exhibition at Turner's House as he explores these issues, looking at how Turner’s relatives contested his will, before turning to the history of the display of the Turners at Trafalgar Square and the complicated relationship between the National and Tate Galleries as they determined the bequest’s final distribution.
